We don't have energy. We must provide the fuel to produce energy.in our body. Energy is not just physical, it is also mental  and emotional. We need  just two fuels, water and food.

Drugs , poor food and drinks ,bad advice, greed and lack of ethics. are  big proplems in the Health and Wellness industry. Using common sense  will go a long way to  generating energy.

 

Warning.

Lots of folks who hire workers now require drug tests. Nicotene is a drug and so they don't want to t hire smokers. Insurance companies can and will raise your rate if you start smoking. Obesity is getting out of control and the trend for the  obease in the working place is getting different. If you are obease you are probably starting to feel more pressure.

More data is indicating that medicine  is not  always the cure. The one in the mirror might be  the one who could solve the proplem in many, many cases. It is not too late to start.  Drink water an eat healty food.  You know that means fresh and fresh frozen fruits and veggies, and nuts. Start walking every day and work up to 40 to 60 minutes or more of brisk walking.. If you are in a wheel chair or bed ridden, whggle and waggle what ever you can. It is not too latee to start.

IMG_1125Energy is not natural. It must be generated.  Energy   is generated in a Power Plant.  The power plant needs fuel to generate the energy that makes things go. This power plant could use coal, water, wind, sun, nuclear material or something else to generate the energy that makes things go.

I AM NOT SURE HOW MUCH OF THIS IS ACTUAL AND FACTUAL. You all know Willie Nelson the singer? He started a power plant here in Texas, and he used dirty grease that came from the food industry.  I remember when my kids were little, driving by a potato chip factory.  It stunk awful. That is the stinky stuff Willie was going to use as fuel for big 18-wheel truck fuel. It was cheaper to manufacture than diesel fuel. There was a fortune to be made. There was a problem. The stinky stuff was so bad it gunned up truck motors. That stinky stuff is called trans-fat. WILLIE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE.

I tell this story because our body needs energy to run. It requires fuel to generate energy every day.  The two “must have” fuels are water and food.  There are only three kinds of food, protein, carbohydrates, and fats. There is great food, average food and horrible food.  There are other things we but in or body, some may be OK and some not OK. We can also put too much stuff or too little in our body. Me, I work hard to keep it simple, drinking lots of water and seven or more fresh or fresh frozen fruits and veggies and nuts every day.  I drink no sugar drinks and quit smoking 55 years ago.

It is very important that we take the steps to generate energy, not just physical, but mental alertness, and positive thinking. Being negative and unhappy is easy. Listen to Abe Lincoln when he said, “Most people are as happy as the make up their minds to be”.

The lower your energy, the lower your happiness, the lower your enthusiasm, the lower your confidence and the higher your chances of sickness, illness and chronic diseases. Your confidence sucks, you get fatter, you stress out frequently.

When you decide to generate energy, you change every one of those  factors. You begin every day Happy and Healthy.

And there is more. Energy is a positive force to increased learning, creativity, and taking positive steps to get more of the things you want to do done.

Generating energy converts stress into manageable action. Generating energy gets you up happy every day. Generating energy makes you want to drink lots of water, eat fresh and frozen fruits and veggies and nuts, walk 10000 steps and get seven or more hours of sleep every day.  Have a HAPPY HEALTHY DAY

Not all habits are created equally. Fourteen years ago, I drank too much, ate lots of unhealthy food, was a couch potato and did not get enough sleep. Those are four bad habits. I asked me a very important question. If I continue these four bad habits for the next five years where will I be? “I will be dead.”. That is a certain fact.

Certainty blinds us and lets us continue bad thinking and predictable bad results. Fourteen years ago, I made the decision to change. Change is disruptive. The first change was to get off sugary drinks. I drank a little more water and a little less sugary drinks. Then I drank a little more water and a lot less sugary drinks. Today I drink no sugar drinks.

I am 86 years old, but the body is better right now than 64 years ago when Uncle Sam drafted me into the US Army. I once weighed 254 and my blood pressure was at 204 /105.. I now weigh 142 and BP is under control. I walk and  have fun speaking and writing  about Health , Wellness and Economics.
