It takes discipline, consistency, and desire to build a winning routine. Jack Nicklaus had the famous putting routine.  Experts timed it for 18 holes. It never varied over 3 seconds for each of the 18 putting surfaces.

WE HAD A 10 K LAST WEEKEND. MOST EVERY RUNNER  STARTED OFF IN CROSS COUNTRY  WHILE STILL IN JUNIOR HIGH.

THE CANTON SCHOOLS  HAVE  A GREAT CROSS COUNTRY PROGRAM. 

IT IS A "DO GOOD  AND CREATE VALUE " PROGRAM 

MARTA, A JUNIOR HIGH TEACHER IS IN CHARGE AS COACH AND CHIEF COOK AND BOTTLE WASHER  

JUNIOR AND SENOR  HI- BOYS- GIRLS - JV - VARSITY - THE SCHOOL BUSES- SCHEDULING - RECORDING AND POSTING-ETC ETC ETC 

AND GETTING THE KIDS TO BECOME CLASS LEADERS AND READY TO GRADUATE INTO THE NEXT WORLD ON TOP AS LEADERS AND EXAMPLES OF WHAT A TOP GRAD IS - LANDING TOP SCHOLARSHIPS- READY FOR WHATEVER THE WORLD THROWS AT THEM.

 TWO  THEN 8 THEN 16 THEN 32 THEN 64 IN A TOWN OF LESS THAN FOUR THOUSAND PEOPLE.

ONE MORNING LAST FALL I LEFT THE GYM AT 7 AM -WHERE OVER 23 WERE LEAVING OR ARRIVING  - SAW 4 WALKERS WITH FLIGHTS IN THERE HATS WALKING DOGS - AND AS I  CUT THRU THE CROSS-FIT PARKING LOT - SAW 17 CARS THEN  PAST THE CHURCH PARKING LOT WITH 6 CARS AND DID HOUR WALK IN THE PARK 14 MORE CARS BEFORE I HEADED HOME. 

THAT IS 64 WALKERS. THERE ARE AT LEAST 128 WALKERS AND RUNNERS OUT AND ABOUT  EVERY DAY IN  TOWN OF LESS THAN 4000 PEOPLE.

DO WHAT WE DO 30 TIMES AND THAT IS OVER 6 MILLION. THAT IS THE POWER OF COMPOUNDING
