Marketing gurus , food processors, and government bureaucrats are having a field day with the BUZZ WORD “ORGANIC”. There are $ hounds charging a fee if you use “ORGANIC” on your label. One store got caught moving ears of corn from a basket with the price 29 cents an ear over to the other side. Put the corn in a basket with the sign ORGANIC $1.25 an ear.

When I talk about carbs, I mean Carbs that have not been messed with. “Refined carbs” means the fruit or veggie has been messed up.. I am not a fan of sugar sweetened beverages, fruit juices, pastries,white bread,and grains that have messed with.
Good Carbs give us energy.

Those of you who know me know that I do not take myself seriously. In my writing, I like to express my thoughts and opinion about two important things that affect all of us big time. Our health and happiness, are subjects I do take seriously.
We are making great improvements in most of the areas of health. We are losing ground in diabetes and obesity. Experts are saying that two thirds of us in the USA are overweight and almost a third of us are obese. This is a big problem.
My obsession, my passion is Healthy Happy Living. I write about it, talk about it, and walk about it.

The epidemic of diabetes is getting worse instead of better. Some experts don’t even limit the statistics to Type 2. Most experts say that the major cause of diabetes is obesity. A major cause of obesity is too much consumption of sugary drinks.
There is a simple way to solve the obesity problem. Drink a little more water and a little less sugar drinks, then drink a little more water and a lot less sugar drinks, then drink lots of water and no sugar drinks. Many Doctors are calling processed sugar a drug. Just choose not you use it.
Studies show that eating foods rich in good fats may help blood cholesterol levels, which can decrease your risk of heart disease. Research also shows that these fatty acids may benefit insulin levels and blood sugar control, which can be especially helpful if you have type 2 diabetes. Has that got your attention?
